Ellen White made history during Soccer Aid on Sunday as she became the first woman to score in the game, thanks to a stunning Jack Wilshere assist.

  • WHAT HAPPENED?

    During Soccer Aid, the annual charity match that sees ex-pros and celebrities team up to raise money for Unicef, White became the first female player to score in the game. She was largely indebted to ex-Arsenal star Wilshere, who beat his former team-mate Petr Cech and two defenders with a mazy dribble before finding White, who tapped into an empty net.

    White retired in 2022 after a glittering career that saw her play for the likes of Arsenal, Birmingham, and Manchester City. An England legend, she went out on top, after the Lionesses won Euro 2022 at Wembley.
