Sargent may have struggled to make that occasion even if Norwich had made it, as he is nursing another injury. The 24-year-old striker is, however, seeing a move to the Premier League speculated on regardless. He registered just two goals for the Canaries during 26 appearances at that level in 2021-22.

According to the , Leeds – who have previously acquired Tyler Adams, Brenden Aaronson and Weston McKennie – are mulling over a move for Sargent if they win promotion as more firepower will be required at Elland Road. Bournemouth, Brentford and Fulham are also being credited with interest, while Bundesliga outfit Werder Bremen would welcome the opportunity to bring him back onto their books.
